A combo for $108?  It was probably mis marked.  Go back and get it then sell it at a profit and then you have more coin to spend on a good rod and reel.

you get what you pay for in center pin reels and rods !!!! i wouldn't even think about using a 108.00 outfit....good center pin reels are very expensive (285-890) bucks....and rods (285-600)....all depends on what your getting yourself into....been there done that ! once you learn how to use them and learn how to fish the stream they are super !!! when it comes to center pins and rods.....there is no such thing as a budget....you just buy it .....lol
