Not sure what size cores or coppers you are looking to run. The Daiwa Saltist and Seagates are great core and copper reels. I now have a full season on the seagates with long coppers, and all I can say is WOW. For the price you can't go wrong, will hold up to 450' coppers with plenty of backing. I will be ordering some Seagate 50's for 350' coppers for next year, Good Luck.

+1.

I have the Seagates for my 200,250,300,350,and 400 coppers and a Saltist 50 for my 10 color.  Awesome drags and very fast retrieve.  I wish they would come out with bigger reels to hold the 450 and 500 with 300 yds of backing!

Check out the High Speed Okuma Clarions also.

CLR-453 LS and CLR-553LS

Don't just compare gear ratios, check the specs for line retrieval per handle turn.

The seagate 50 will be fine for all of those size coppers. I have 400' and 450' coppers on seagate 60's. I have 200, 300 coppers on Saltist 50's

50 Seagate with 200 copper and 150 yds of 50 lbs pp has a little room left. You might be able to squeeze a 250. I'd go to a 60 for a 300. Both size reels are the same price.

Keep in mind the Sealine 57 LC is the same reel as the 50 Seagate but with a linecounter. They're $20 cheaper and you can double duty them. I take the cores off mine later in the year and run 300 ft of Flea Flicker off the backing for DR rods when the fleas get bad.
