Hello, everyone. My name is Katherine, I go by Kate, and I am a grad student working on a thesis in macroinvertebrate community changes at an artificial reef off Olcott, NY. Does anyone know about that reef? It was built in 1982 as a lake trout attracting reef, and it was used by lake trout but now it is just a carpet of round gobies. I am trying to reach out to potentially do a restoration project on this reef (basically need materials, permit, grant...etc). If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, please share them! Thank you!

Welcome to the site Kate.  Wish I had a cure for the gobies.  I'd venture a guess that under the gobies, you'll find a lot of quagas.
