My Grandpa and uncles who hung cows and pigs by the hind legs did it to bleed them out and also to halve them, but their deer they did not, do to the fact that they have bled all they are gonna in the field, and they weren't gonna halve them. Also less hair on the hind quarters hung by the head. Though I wasn't alive when this picture was taken, these are the men who taught me.

still a first for me .....to see this..hey a plummers torch removes hair in a fraction of a sec...folks in Illinois never heard of it. they were amazed at how fast it works...hell i thought everyone did it...might try it on my back this winter after a good snowfall dont want to ignite the neighbor hood with the fireball..
