I spent the weekend at my sons place on Onida Lake, south shore,ice had formed out about forty ft. I bet big bay is skimed over. We'll on the ice by Christmas. :) .

Too bad the weather for Sunday and Monday is warm.....   I think it is going to be one of those winters!

Agreed..... Snow and slightly above average temps. PITA!😠 Still cannot wait to get tips in. As always, be safe out there.

They were on Black Lake yesterday. Haven't seen a report on how much ice, but they had 2" on Saturday when I swung through there delivering the Winter Classic scales.

Felt great to get on the ice for the first time this season on Sunday. Limited ice made for spotty fishing. However, still managed several flags, few nice perch, 2 pickerel, and a largie released safely. How far north are you going to find fishable ice.

not much up this way.might find some small coves with ice,but nothing safe.some of the locals were riding sleds on part of raquette lake,but that was before the rain and warm wind.maybe next weekend,looks like its gona get cold next week.

talked to a friend today,he fished first lake of the fulton chain and said there was 4 to 6 inches of ice.
