I've done it,but I won't do it again.

The shallows do not produce and when you cast out a bit farther you will get stuck in the weeds. The only way to fish it from shore is with live bait (pike minnow) and a slip bobber, casting as far out as you can with the bait and a sinker with the depth set for roughly 12 to 15 foot. If you have a 12 foot surf casting rod  set the depth for 25 foot. There is pike, lakers (in front of the tip) and once about 20 years ago a tiger musky

It was the only thing that worked for me.

Now if you go out with a canoo you can catch a lot of fish.

Did I mention going up and down that road when it snows?

It is not exactly a high priority road  and it gets salted and plowed accordingly.
