Anybody know what the ice conditions look like on I bay was hoping to get out there this Saturday.

I've seen reports on another site that guys are fishing cautiously but not doing too well. Use caution. Ice thicknesses vary. A car went through last night. I saw emergency lights last night while on Empire Blvd. and, fearing the worst, checked the news reports this morning and saw a confirmation. No reports of death or injury or how the car got there but just the same....caution is the name of the game.

Tnks. Saw the hole from the truck. Fn idiot. Saw guys out over deep water it's been a cold week so should be pretty good by Saturday. I'm always a little aprihencive first time over the year.

I've heard 6-7 inches

Ended up out on Braddock instead. Long slow day. Couple small pike and one jack perch. ICE is thick. At least 10-12 inches.
