Fished the NYS Pro Am Ice Tourney today and located some Lake O Gold for the weigh in! -19deg start at 5am... But turned out to be a great day on the ice! 3-fish bag weighed 21.2lbs. Largest was 8.5lbs. Got kicked out of the money by a few perch. Can't believe it came down to that but 4th place is respectable and it was a lot of fun. Two eyes over 13lbs were caught yesterday... 13.2 and 13.65lbs. Trophy fish!

Nice going.....great eyes. I have to say though that the one in the first pic must be a male from the expression on his face....you shouldn't have been gripping his gonads so tightly

Haha Sk8 - didn't really notice that until you pointed it out... It was cold that morning it's amazing how fast the fish froze.

In this tournament, you were able to cull fish in a sense since you could keep the 2-person limit (6).  Only the 3 largest would go to the scale of the 6 possible.  In our case it was simple, we caught 3 that day so to the scale they went! haha Did lose 3 others throughout the day... they were painful loses until 3 were in the cooler and we knew we had a full bag to weigh in.

You should have seen the 13.65lb slob that 1st place won.

That makes sense. Many people dont realize it is only legal to cull black bass in NY. Which is why we dont have walleye tour stops in NY. Its a shame because I think it would be a hit in NY.
