Hows the weather out in your neck of the woods?

Snow up the pooper out here.

Anyway I was hoping to get out on Seneca for Landlocks for three days this weekend.

Ramp at the south end locked up?

How about the Tagonauk (sp) on Cayuga?

Thanks for any help.

I believe taunghannock (sp?) has a bubbler, at least they used to. It's been many years since I have launched there in winter

Went there 2 weeks ago the bubbles were running and water was open but it was not this cold. Caught some fish but nothing to brag about. We called the park two days before we went to see if launch was open.

Glen,

Pretty bad out here and worse for the weekend. Bubbler at T-falls has been marginal. Not sure what the situation at the Village launch in Watkins is like. I have not even tried going out yet this winter. Should start to turn around soon (sick of ice fishing...)

Bummer.

Thanks for the updates guys.

I got to set the hooks into something pretty soon

Looks like I'll stay home and shovel this weekends snow storm and respool a couple more rods.

Good fishing

Even if it isn't frozen I'd hate to be coming down that hill on ice with the boat behind me

The launch at Watkins Village Marina near the new hotel is wide open. There were two trucks with trailers there yesterday. I could see a boat anchored in front of the breakwall, probably perch fishing.

Might want to give Larry Japp a call John Telephone: 315-789-3094

I was down to the marina yesterday.  Larry was moving snow with his tractor, but launch ramp was closed up tight.  Not sure he was able to get it cleared with the angle of the ramp.

Thing about the launches that worries me is that if when you drag the trailer out, water drips off the trailer, freezes and therefor you can not get your boat out later. If I had a winch or someone I Knew would be around then i would definitley consider it.  I just don't want to call AAA to get me off the launch.  Maybe kitty litter or tubesand would help too.

Fathobbit, that is an awesome pic of the cliffs.  You should frame that.

a couple bags of play sand do the trick. harmless to the lake, cheap, and easy to throw in the rig.

In real cold weather the sand tops the salt :)
