Rattling stickbaits

How does everyone feel about the effect of stickbaits such as the rattling rogue for a stealthy spring brown presentation ??

They are one of my favorites with a good mudline.  In clearer water, there are better options IMO.  They aren't really a "stealthy" presentation, they are a "get their attention" presentation.

Smittys are great plugs.....i run at least one everytime i go out....sun, water clarity , and wave conditions dictate lure color and lead length.... Clear bright days and i run naturals like shiner or goby patterns on longer leads (120-160 back). Cloudy, murky, or rougher water you can get away with bright colors and shorter leads. Last year it didnt matter what you put out.

The Bay Rat Lures were awesome for Browns last year and they have a bead in the head of every bait so they all rattle!!

Don't see a good floating orange and they are a lot pricier than the Smithwicks too!

Bay rat has several orange patterns. Orange tiger and coho crusher are two of the better ones.

Thanks for pointing that out Paul! OK, so I just dumped my 1st 100 bucks into the pot for the 2015 season. Oranges looks good, the Cindy looks good, and I like that 'referee' pattern. hopefully the fish will agree...
