Electric reel mount

Can someone who has these tell me how they mount to your boat.  I'm trying to figure if I can mount these to the 1 1/2" rail around the top of my cabin.

if you are looking to rail it mount it you need to have the adapater shown below. the standard vee clamps are used for mounting from 7/8†to 1½†diameter rail
