Thinking it will.be mid April. With the weather for the next week not looking good temps.(in the teens at night and mid 30 days) It will take a good week or two of.solid Temps to help break things up

Well heading up on april 20th..last year I think ice out was the around 15th. Lets hope weather pattern changes

we are heading  to Fair Haven  on   April 18th  for 2 weeks    the  lake  will be open    the pond  may have issues   however the state park  launch close to the shoot   should be open  if the  pond ice is not out.

The coast guard launch in sodus is a good early season alternative to fair haven sometimes if necessary.

This was taken today outside of Bayside Marina. 20" of ice is what they have as of this morning

Guessing another 2 weeks. Ice as far as you can see. Ice fishing still straight out from state park launch. Talked to one guy he said solid 16"

Too k a ride to Fair Haven today. Ice everywhere. Bay covered several ice fisherman out. Bayside marina still all frozen except around bubblers. Big lake look like a frozen planet ice in all directions  as far as you can see. Stacked 6-8 ft high on shore.Going to be a couple weeks I'm afaid.Larry

One thing to remember when the lake clears and there is still a portion of the bay with ice on it but the  the  shute is  open to launch at the park . I went out fishing and the wind changed and blew the remaining floating ice up against the shute and i could not get back in .

the web cam  at Moon Beach   shows  all open  water   except  for a bit  of ice pushed to the shore   we are heading in the right  direction

Well get there. If it does get warm the stuff can melt relatively quick. Soon....

Heres a photo scott took the other day. Its getting there but still ice on the bay..I can get to camp but its still got a few days to go yet...next week...water level drastically low..
