Take off the leader set on good fish and I've seen several brands fail with 1and 2 pound diameter. With the 4lb and a leader its nearly bulletproof. I also use the steelhead barrel swivels and they help with ease in the dark tying. We had 6 violent hits from tigers and 2 in particular last night and the braid doesn't fail if you use it correctly.
