Sorry to hear about your scratch. The lower Niagara is the location of many a scratch, gouge, dent, ect. Take solace in the fact that had you had a fiberglass boat it would've been much worse. Most just touch it up, or wait until they have  several hundred and then have it professionally painted.

Perhaps some of the Liquid Steel stuff in a tube that hardens like metal and use a putty knife to smooth and then fine sand and use touch up paint in close color

yes thanks for the info. i should not worry about it but keep thinking about how it will look after a coupe years . if not fixed and yes scratches do happen so i guess i fix temp. for now and in a few years have it all painted.

Mix up a batch of auto body bondo with some hardener in it, then apply it with a putty knife...quick! Only fill the scratch so with access bondo around the scratch cause the stuff is brutal to sand down. Prime it then paint it

I baby and pamper my boats with the best of them. But when the day comes when it she gets her first ding it's also a relief. I don't have to be so anal about bumpers and where i tie it up and whatnot anymore. I made it 5 years on my current boat before she got any dock rash,my personal best.

JB Weld works great use cardboard and tape to prevent it from dripping down the side of your boat. drys light grey wouldnt worry about paint.

The Coast Guard only paints it underwater and identification areas of its aluminum boats. This saves on weight, paint and scratch repairs.

Scratches help catch more fish

Fish will always bit on lures from a pitiful boat

They feel sorry for those fisherman

As in the tv commercial, everyone knows that.
