Walleye run at Rossie

Took a trip to Rossie last night and observed the walleyes running up the river from Black Lake. It's an annual spectacle that brings a fair number of people and a DEC game warden is there 24/7. Saw quite q few eyes glowing with the aid of a spot light. it's amazing how many can be in the some nights.

Cool Kevin. Nothing like seeing those eyes light up at night ..(especially when they are on the end of your line though) sounds as though there is a healthy population there.

Kevin has it hit the peak or is it past talked to a guy wed night he said it was loaded. Haven't made it down there this year, been busy trying to get things done before the fishing starts.

I have a countdown on my phone.  I am sooooo ready for this year.  Looks to be running about the same time as last year.  Ice out is a little earlier but temps seem to be about the same. Here's to hoping the walleye fishing is as good as last year!!
