Members of the Genesee Charter Boat Association, captains, local fishermen and just plain nice folks came out to assemble, sew, repair and put in the pens for upcoming salmon and steelhead.  We worked hard but were able to patch everything back together and put them all in.  These Rochester captains are extremely knowledgeable and hard working.  More than a few times I heard mention of how carefully to treat these pens and the fish they will contain as "each one of these fish could be the next derby winner".   Here's some snap shots of the work we did.  Tight Lines folks.  Don't forget to leave your favorite fishing spot looking better than when you arrived at it.  Larry

I was telling my friend at work, Eric Abate, about the pen rearing projects and even know he isn't a fisherman he thought it would be cool to help out and give back to the Lake. He helped setup the pens earlier this week and sneaked away at lunch yesterday to take these picture of the Trout and Salmon being delivered to the Genny pens.

It was cool to see them get put into the pens.Sam made me crawl on a broken plank to fix one of the nets on the steelhead pen.I zipped it back together without falling in.(Sam didn't really make me I volunteered)

Fed them today at 1:00pm and all looks well!

Thanks for taking the plank instead of me Dan. I fed them last night at 7. Had to kneel down to get the pellets to the fish cause the wind was whipping.  Didn't see any floaters either. DEC said that they were a hearty batch.  :muscle:
