Furuno FCV 587

Just would like to know is this is a good finder? Was going to buy this one or the Garmin 840. Any imput would be great. Thanks

Coupled with an Airmar through hull transducer it is very good.  I have been using them for about 7 yr. on 2 different boats with no problems.  Although I use split screen most times, 50 hz almost always gives me a better picture.  I don't play much with the settings except for gain a little.

2 :yes: For the Furuno. Just don't cheap out on the transducer. Go Airmar thru hull. I believe Furuno is offering a $100 rebate on the 587's and the smaller screen 627.
