Kicked off my season with a weekend trip.

Fishing was tough on Saturday and it took me a while to dial them in but we got um.

Biggest Brown was about 7 1/2 lbs but we did some good numbers.

Also picked up a couple Small Mouth with one pushing 5 lbs, a nice Northern and a bonus nice Walleye.

These guys were strictly C&R so no pictures of a box but one of the guys sent me some pictures he took on the water.

Connor the youngest member of the party took the Northern, the Walleye and the biggest Bass.

The northern earned him a cool 40 bucks for big fish of the trip as well as the nickname "Pike Man"

Couple of decent Browns.

Love seeing reports of catch and release. Were you getting them on stick, spoons or both? Thanks for the report. I'm not shy about a little spoon feeding. Love seeing kids out there!!

Most fish on Saturday came in stupid shallow water on sticks,

The area was blown out with heavy mud on Sunday and the fish moved out and south.

Spoons run right on bottom out produced the sticks by a large margin.

Thank you for the insight. If the lake is settled enough, Saturday will be our first day out. Weather is crazy this week.

Hopeing to go on Sunday this week as long as the wind stays somewhat tame.

Leave some fish for us... :)
