Fish in what I thought was a trout tournament today but rest of story to come. Started with a brown program and one of my favorite spots and didn't take long and after a great battle landed my biggest brown ever followed by the second biggest and ended with a small 12lber. Biggest was 16 second over 13. Fish were 75-90 down over 80 to 100 fow. After a tip that it was a lake trout only derby we switch to lakers and couldn't get anything over 7lb. They were hugging bottom and just not on the feed. All in all a great first trip of the year.

WTG   It is gratifying to know that they are in fact still in here....I;ve been having a hell of a time getting them the past couple years. You obviously have them dialed in and that is great.

I didn't fish the derby on Canandaigua because the rules clearly state that you can only use one rod per person. Who trolls with just one rod?

Outstanding fish- anywhere!!!

I believe the 1 rod rule is for the bass tournaments. I think it'll be the last time I fish his tournament. Well maybe I'll go down to Keuka next weekend and beat them with another 12lb laker out of there!!

What a day NICE , you beat my entire big fish year in one after noon !!!!!! Hope you keep on them ...............

Nice fish...I fished the derby as well...I couldn't catch a laker bigger than 6 lbs...caught quite a few but all were Keuka size...good luck catching a 12 lber over at Keuka... But then again if you can catch 3 nice browns like that any where in one day,you might just Go to Keuka and catch a 12 lber...

Letsfish2day...I actually did catch a 12lber there in the Avon anglers derby 3 years ago which is now the fixit4u derby. They are there, far and few between but we also caught some nice 8-9lbers also during that derby.
