Headed out at 2 to fish toward shipbuilders like Saturday. When we cleared the piers it was mud everywhere to east. With no idea where to head we spot to braddocks where we set up in 20 fow on a north troll (couple charter guys were along side me and kept running father west). Looked like Yankee Troller). Picked up steelhead in 30fow on rigger 15 down. As me got to 40 dipsy with flasher and fly took a small laker. Then the hr lull and in 60fow bottom rigger fired with another laker. We spun back around headed back in with one more Steelie in the 30's. Although we kept my nephew busy, I was beyond frustrated. Saw Alot good reports this morning, and I struggled to get a rhythm. Like to hear others reports near bradocks this afternoon. Should I have pounded in the mud east of the piers?

We all have those days when we second guess the direction and we don't have the day we hope for, but the pics of your nephew tell me someone on that boat was happy.  If it makes you feel any better, we were least productive in the muddiest water out of the bay.

I dont think u want to be in the mudwater... look for water beyond the mud that takes on a greenish color. that has worked for me based on my limited time fishing lake o. sometimes the good water moves or becomes invaded by mud water depending on wind and prevailing current. had a hot spot shift a week or so ago.... look at the water around you, you can often see color changes that might be worth swinging your gear thru. I also start with a mixed color of lures (natural-brights)to see what the fish want... for me black silver or chart/white sticks have produced best. sometimes there is no preference riggers and sticks all targeting top 5-10 fow has been productive for browns. if it aint workin shallow swing a little deeper.. zig and zag, see if they want it faster or slower. 1.9-2.3 sog has been best for my spread. good luck
