I'm asking how to use trolling rods.

Put your lure in the water and let it out. Flip your free spool lever to the down position and let out line. Length will be determined by style of fishing. On riggers 10-30 feet, generally. Clip on release and send it down(thumb on the spool) to where the fish are. Flip free spool lever up and tighten your line. Make sure drag is right and clicker on.
