Vintage Big Jon Captains Pak

Has anyone had experience with the 4' Fiberglass arms  on the older Big Jon Captains pak 4' downriggers, Are the arms as strong as aluminum ? I'm intending on using them on a 16' side console, probably use the mostly for walleye, and shallow inshore salmon ( 60 feet or less), I do have 6 Lb, as well as 8Lb weights, Thanks

I still have one in the basement they did break the odd arm but at those ball weights you should be ok . You can replace the arms with aluminum if you have to.
