I have a big John electric down rigger. I think it is a bj2000 it seems to have a bad breaker. Looking for someone local that maybe able to test this and poss repair. The basics have been checked power to the plug. Thanks for any ideas.

You should be able to bypass the circuit breaker with a - and + jumper wire and test your breaker and switch .You should be able to get the circut breaker and rocker switch at any good automotive store. Our online here is a link to Granger it says they have a couple of locations in Rochester.Grangers price for the breaker is $3.00 Bigjon wants $25.I bet it is the same one.http://www.grainger.com/product/CARLING-TECHNOLOGIES-Circuit-Breaker-4VA76?s_pp=false&picUrl=//static.grainger.com/rp/s/is/image/Grainger/4VA75_AS01?$smthumb$ It's only 12 volts it's not like it will kill you.

If you click on the rocker switch on the link here from Bigjon  it will enlarge it and you can see it is made by Carling the same company as in the link from Grainger. https://www.bigjon.com/product/rocker-switch.The circut breaker might be made by some one else (Made in China not Mexico) but I would think the Carling switch in the Grainger link would work it just doesn't have the metal stem on the neck. https://www.bigjon.com/product/10-amp-circuit-breaker
