I downsized my boat and no longer need a WD hitch. The Equalizer model 90-00-1000 is a weight distributing and sway controlling hitch that is designed for trailers with surge brakes.  It is rated at 1,000 lb. max tongue wt. and 10,000 lb. max trailer weight. The MSRP is $765, and I am selling mine for $275 (PRICE REDUCED) including the ball. Local pickup only - due to its weight, I will not ship it. It also works with electric brakes. Unlike other WD hitches, this also works with surge brakes. By having bars that slide, it allows the trailer to "push" against the car and active the surge brakes. In addition to being a WD hitch, it also helps to control trailer sway.

Interesting.  I know a couple of people that do a lot of towing with bigger stuff and one in particular that I think was looking for a hitch.  I'll mention it to them and pass along the info if they're interested.
