Fellow Fishers,   I will be fishing 20-22 f.o.w. for yellow perch, mostly drifting and trolling and was wondering what your best rig is for that depth? Thanks

Hands down.....a sabiki with 1/2oz - 1oz weight attached to the bottom (depending on wind and/or speed). For here in PA, you must cut off a couple of the hooks to make the rig legal. FISHUSA.com has a very good selection.......

This is a drift rig. Drop straight over the boat and SLOWLY let the weight hit bottom. Reel up until you can feel the weight bouncing off the bottom, but not dragging. Set the rod in the holder and wait. From my experience, perch begin to school up come June(ish). If you find a good school, deploy an anchor. A good fish finder helps a lot......you are better off to find the fish that drift around aimlessly for them.

Again, just my advise.

Not sure about trolling, but we get a ton while walleye fishing with crawler harnesses. Problem is....these are great lake Erie tactics, but maybe not the same for the Big O.
