Daughter Hit The Elk Loto

Hi guys just found out a week or so ago that my 12 year old daughter drew a bull elk tag in a top trophy unit in New Mexico. For any of you with kids NM has a great youth program unlike NY. Kids with a hunters safety card can apply for special youth only hunts with a rifle in the top trophy areas of the state. The draw odds are much better than for adults. Put her in for Elk, Oryx, and Big Horn Sheep, not thinking she had a chance but she lucked out on the elk. With record rain fall this year so far out west their should be some awesome bulls.

That is awesome, been to New Mexico several times and it's amazing the size of the Elk there. She wi have an great time reguardless. Good luck

WOW, that's fantastic, I hope you two shoot a trophy bull. Way to go dad!!! Chance of a life time, make the best of it. Sending my hopes and prayers that she shoots one, just the experience alone will be a life time story itself!!!
