I just bought a pair of the 18 in bags to use on my 18 ft Lund. Does everyone run them with the rope from the tail end tied off to keep them from going under the boat? I understand keeping the front rope short enought to keep them from getting tangled in the prop, but what about the back end rope.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and

The back rope not only keeps it from going under the boat, but it also is used to pull the bag out.

Hammer's down is right on. The back(tag) line keeps them close to the side and makes retrieving them way easier. Just pour the water out by pulling up on the tag line.

You also need the rear rope to sink the bag when you deploy them . lift the rear rope to fill the bag. great units.
