Line winder

Any one looking for a good line winder thought I would share this. Made by south chatam this line winder is awesome and fair price. Bought to spool my own copper set up. Heavy duty and lots of tension for braid and such. I bought the line counter separate because of the copper I want to spool.

Looked at it online, appears to use a battery powered drill for winding, so it doesn't have it's own motor?

 

Good looking unit though.

It does not have a motor. I'm going to take an old rod ,cut off the handle ,and mount in front of the unit. The drill adapter is primarily for stripping line, which is pretty slick. I had purchased a berkley plastic line winder and within 1 day it broke and was so light one person had to hold it while another reeled. This unit its built like a tank

I purchased one of these before the season and it's great! Handles bulk spools of line with ease.
