Good Morning, it is Wednesday, May 20th.
It’s a chilly one with a good NW breeze. Fishing just got really good. Everyone is catching fish and those kings and steelies are biting. There are fish scattered everywhere inside so it isn’t hard to find them. Great colors to use are the caramel, rust, gold, yellows. Spoons, flies, meat – it’s all working right now. Memorial Day weekend is coming up fast and it’s going to be a good one for angling.

I have not been out recently, but.....a NW blow will move fish from the bar towards Olcott so you should have good fishing.  Start setting lines at 50' and troll out until you hit fish.  The temp break on the Niagara plume is around 220' so that is probably as deep as you want to go.  Fish are anywhere in the water column right now from the surface to 80' down so put stuff everywhere.  Mornings fish are usually higher playing in the 50 degree water so get your leadcore out.  Start your divers out short 80-90 back and bleed them out as needed.  Still mostly a spoon bite, but later in the morning start sprinkling in more flashers/flies.  A good rigger depth to start is 30-50' down with cheaters.

Thanks guys!! prolly be running dipsies, and tru-trips, also 1 rigger. Go to colors for me in the past have been see sick Waddler, carmel dolphin, green dolphin, raspberry dolphin, and the NBK's. Prolly start out at 2.8, that sound like the right program?? Will definitely drop some flasher/flies down as the sun comes up. Also, we seemed to do real well running luhr Jensen dodgers on all of our spoons last year, but it was our last trip at the end. Anyone else run them??

bring lead core if you have it, 5 and 10 color cores worked well for us last weekend out there and don't be afraid to put some orange mag spoons out. 100 to 150 fow was very good to us.
