This screen shot is right outside Wilson harbor. Marking lots of something. Don't look like typical fish arches. Anyone have a suggestion as to what they might be?

We marked like that last week and were surrounded by midges or flies. I thought that was what we marked as they were flying off the surface all around us. This was in 30-50 fow mind u

How big of a fish is it? Do salmon feed on them?

They can get 12"-15".  They exploded on the scene with the warm decade as we are on the northern edge of their range.  I noticed the last two winters really knocked them down.  This spring I did not see any in Olcott Harbor.
