Fished sat am - picked up one ( bro-in law first eye! )then waves kicked up. Husky jerk

Sunday am-Went out in morning tried to get to were we wanted to be, waves were pretty big, made a couple passes nothing. back in for breakfast!

Sunday pm-My brother just pickup his new boat. So out to break it in. I said what going to do when that 18 lb sheephead will be the first fish!" Lol ( well i jinx myself )The new smell.. they must of loved it. He Limited out before dark. My boat drop 2 and managed 1.

Monday morning went out for a quick trip pick up 2.

No one lure was crazy, rapalas, reef runners, smithwicks mix of everything.

Who had the merc?  Thought you ran yammies.  Nice looking eyes they are finally starting to turn on. I only ended up fishing after I got my son down for bed and in the 4-5 hours we fished all weekend we managed 9 fish.  Not to shabby if you ask me, we fished 3 nights from 8:30pm to 10:00pm all night bite fish.  Like you said they came on everything but my bay rat took the most hits out of the weekend.

My Brother just got new Lund & merc, I still got Yamaha. Try a bay rat no luck. It was a smaller one- black/ clear . Good job with the nite bite.

I took my dad and a friend of his out Saturday AM. It was cold, but the walleye were on. Three in the boat before 8 AM, and five by 11. Most came on a ReefRunner 800 in 20-30 FOW. It was like a red confetti colored thing. One came on a floating rainbow Rapala off the downrigger. Same water.

What water temps are you running into down there? Surface temps here the past few days onthe river (Fishers Landing)are 53-54.

In Chaumont bay was like 59-60 degrees

I was down yesterday evening surface was temp was 63-66 pending where I was . Only one boat I seen out targeting for walleye,boated a pike and a couple small bass and lost 1 walleye..
