Depth Raider Antenna

Gonna be installing our depth raider saturday and heard that there is a special antenna for the scottys. Is this antenna necessary? thanks for the help.

yes you need it.. the antenna receives the signal from the coated cable

Maybe, maybe not.

Take a look at the inner diameter of the antenna coil that came with the unit. It has to be large enough to fit the autostop beads through. The original one that came with my DR wasn't so I used one of the 1/2" diameter pickup coils from my black box and that worked fine. last year the antenna broke and the replacement one I got was larger diameter and the scotty beads fit right through.

As I'm sure you are well aware, those riggers a just to darn fast to not have the autostop working on em.

i called Kell labs 2 weeks ago about this because i got 2 scottys this year. he told me to call fish 307 in Lake George NY , he makes a special antnnea for them that kell labs will produce soon. i havent called yet, going to keep one cannon for the DR to run on for now.

Thanks for the responses, install the DR this morning and the beads go right through the antenna that came with it.
