Heading out this weekend, just wondering what depth people have been finding lakers in between oak and ibay in the last week. I appreciate it!

Found one down 90 over 180 out of I Bay last weekend, before the weather came through.

We were out today and there was nothing below 30 ft. We had 3 lakers (2 sliders) and one when I was letting out line. Water temp @35ft was 39 degrees in 200 ft.

Amazing to me that some people regard them and browns as trash fish. We are lucky to have diversity. If they were rare they would be more popukar lol.

Nothing wrong with either but I greatly prefer fishing for Browns.

True. I've had some big ones come in like a sea anchor. Then I had some that atleast did some head shaking lol. Beautiful fish though

Catch a laker on a rig geared for 30 pound salmon, sure you won't find it sporting. Jig up lakers on a bass rod and 10 pound braid, you will get all the sport you can handle!

Catch a 27" laker on a 24" ice jigging rod on 6 lb test through a 6" hole get them up to the hole, and HANG ON while they take drag all the way back down to 170'!!!! Your heart will be pumping
