First time out in some time and it was enjoyable as usual.  Went 10 for 14 with a mix of Steel, Lakers, and juvenile Kings.  Dropped in around 50fow to see temps and worked out to 100+ before down temp started looking good.  About 53 on top and slowly dropping to 46ish, 70 down a bit beyond that 100fow mark.  We worked 100-220, in and out this morning.  Adjusted the riggers as we went, anywhere from 70-50 down, with cheaters.  Dipsies 70-90 on setting 3, and full color cores.  Every rod fired at some point, but the 70-60 rigger was most productive.  DW superbread, DW orange tranny, MS carbon 14, SD White Nuclear and matching Atommik fly, MS Blue Knight, NK silver w/orange dots all took a fish or 2.  Green was NOT the color today, at least for us.  A solid day on my boat with 2 of us enjoying a calm lake.  Tomorrow looks like a great day to go trolling...

Great report, thanks.  Although not as many fish, I had similar observations both Saturday and today...... fish spread thin and no kings over 10lbs.  I even had double kings on the same line (slider) and they did not add up to 10 lbs!  :(

Fish grips! Best money I ever spent for handling walleye!

Just got them and they are fantastic.  Great for toothy/nubby fish like pickerel, walleye, pike, trout/salmon.  95% of the fish on my boat get released, so I'm trying to get better with fish handling.  I think we still need to support the tails, so a work in progress.  You all know how when you gill a large salmon, there is that slight tearing feeling you have in your hand.  This can't be good.

We have been spoiled out of this port. :)   I'm sure in no time we won't be combining the weight of 2 Kings to get 10lbs.
