what knot to use

I have 30 lbs big game line on reel and would like to tie on fluorocarbon leader on what knot should I use?

If you are going to a 20 pound fluoro leader, the blood knot works well, otherwise, uni to uni knot.  Good luck

I have used the uni to uni knot without issue. Easy to tie, if your rod has smaller guides on it the knot some times catches on the way out. You just have to give the rod tip a little shake and the line passes through

Uni to Uni.  Easy to tie and very strong.

My old Fenwick Rigger sticks eyelets don't like the uni to uni knot. Too bulky. Blood knot is slightly smaller and just as strong IMO.

I run a very very small barrel swivel in between mono and floro because i feel its a stronger connection and prevents line twist

Uni to uni just trim the excess nice and tight , will go through eyes just fine
