Ahh, I don't know. Full moon is great dusk fishing. New moon is great dawn fishing.

If there's a full moon out, I don't bother getting out until around 10 am, as the salmon have been feeding all night and have full bellies at 6 am.

Can't really verify it and never paid attention before, but one of my fishing partners said his grandfather told him long ago that if the moon was out during the day, you better either be fishing or hunting. We had the trip of all trips out on Erie last July 4th weekend while the "daylight moon" was a perfect 1/2 moon.
