Slide divers

Ok so I use regular divers but what are slide divers and can any diver "slide"

With a slide diver you can set your lead at any length, with a dipsey your lead is fixed at one length...

Slide Divers give you a more stealth presentation.  I run a slide diver on my wire.  I put about 30 to 40 ft. of fluorocarbon with the slide diver on.  When the fish hits the slide diver slides to the dodger and stops. The fish is far enough back of the slide diver not to get any leverage.

You can use a standard dipsey as a slider,we did it  years ago before the sliders came out. about 40 years ago. We used some kind of a big Jon in line release but I can't remember how to set it up, sorry.
