I am running a davis trolling plate that is the large plate on  my 50 horse. It seems like way to much. I was wondering if anybody has the dimesions of the smaller plate. I am thinking of trimming some off the big plate. the plate is great for walleye speeds. When I try to get up above two I have to run pretty hot on the motor, and am burning a ton of fuel.

Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

I am thinking about that. Trolled for four hours Saturday and burned 10 gal of gas. Seems like a lot doesn't it. Before I had the plate I was running two 5 gal pails. Worked pretty good, but one night on the way home the pails blew out somwheres.

Thanks Jiffyjerk. That is exactly what I was looking for. I could find the models but no dimesions. I am cutting it tomorrow night!!!!!!!! I think I will still be able to get down to walleye speeds!!!!
