Anyone ever try using carp on a meat rig? Buddy likes to bowfish thought that might be a good use for the carp he shoots.

Doubt it would work. No flash. No color. Muscles too big to get a solid strip. Giant scales.

I used once salmon belly cause I had spent all my strips and we caught the biggest kings with it. I will make strips with mackrel and I tried with shad (scaled) with sucess.
