A bit late but here it is.

Took some new guys out to show em how to catch lakers Jigging. Five of us in the boat total made for quite the adventure in the rain. We launched from LongPoint around 2:30PM and started looking for fish in 50 or so FOW. Surface temp was 63 or so degrees. After some short strikes we moved to 40 FOW and found bait pods so thick the fish finder thought were bottom. We couldn't scare any fish out of them so we moved deeper and found the fish there. First one hit the boat around 5:15 and the bite was on after that. Ended up with 10 in the boat with the largest being 27" on the board. Everyone who was fishing caught two at least and it was the first time for a few of the guys catching lakers jigging. They wanted some for the freezer so 4 went in the cooler and 6 went back unharmed. Packed up around 8:30PM or so.
