Anyone know if lowrance makes a 50-200 kHz transducer for Lowrance xlc 38c hd? The td I have has the narrow beam

They do. I put one in this year for the same unit. I found mine at the GPS store. It was $99.00.

I guess what I should have asked first, was a dual beam 50-200 kHz transducer sold with the unit? Seems we can only get the 200 to work. Maybe I'm ding something wrong.

Thank you for your help guys

I'll often run both frequencies on split screen when rigging deep ( past 80' ) the 50 Hz read the weights and the stacked releases with unbelievable detail.  Tweeking of the settings is usually needed

My wife read the manual on our way home from the lake and found the correct way to set it up.

Thanks guys

Make sure your depth setting is in auto. When I first used mine I had the depth set manually at 200' and the unit wouldn't read shallow water correct

I suspect that you have a 83/200

To find out about the one youre running just check near the blue connector on the transducer cable there is a aluminium label with the model written on it. If you read HST-WSBL it is a 83/200

We figured out what the problem was. The sensitivity was set too high. It works perfect now! Yeh.
