Hello thinking of making the trip to wright's landing this coming weekend any suggestions or fishing reports lately? We came up a few weeks ago and learned that June is not a very hot month due to the lake setting up. Thanks all

There still was no thermocline as of last Saturday but man is there some nice browns around.  Lost one that was easily 15# and probably more right behind the boat.  We caught fish between the surface and 50 feet down.

Lake should warm up this week and start pushing the fish down.

Is anyone still using stickbaits for the browns or is it now an all spoon bite? Also, how to you keeps the darn weeds off in that shallow water without pulling up your lines every 5 minutes to clean them? Thanks...8-]

I run an offshore clip release ahead of the lure to collect any weeds that slide down the line

Does anyone know how far behind the down rigger ball the spoon should be? I've heard it all from 5 to 30 ft back. New to down riggers. Thanks

Great info!! I haven't caught a Brown trout yet this year!! I tried right after ice out a few times with planer boards and stick Baits with no luck!! I been catching lakers lately because they are cooperating...
