I have had very good luck with my Moor Sub Troll 900 speed and temp unit. This year I started having problems. I checked the battery and replaced it several times. It worked then quit. I switched from the CVS battery to a Duracell and problem solved. The clips on the terminals were loosing up on the CVS. The Duracell had a more positive snap and works. Hope no one got frustrated with these units because of the battery.

No matter what the application for the little extra money it's always worth going with a better battery.

speaking of that our sub troll is acting up and it went from cutting in and out to totally gone now.  Not sure if the probe is shot but we did replace the coax cable and the dash unit only to find out that isn't the problem.  any information is always welcomed, trouble shooting sucks.

Do you have the decimal point on the display? Last year we had trouble with ours and it was the power cord. Replaced that and it worked perfectly the rest of the season.

Knew it was the power cord by testing with a multimeter.
