I am interested in purchasing some bay rats. What size, colors, shallow or deep divers other than gobbie is recommended? I plan on fishing them on dippsies or down riggers on both Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.

Thanks,

In all honesty, call Bay Rat and talk to Kurt or Damien. They will give you the rundown on the hot walleye colors.

For Browns in Lake Ontario you can find all the popular BT colors in Bay Rat right on the website.

PM me if you have trouble.

We fish lake Erie with them and have had good success on leadcore. The best colors by far have been flashy muff, the rave and raspberry lemonade. Good luck

My Renosky's are still outfishing the Bayrats.  But I have noticed that the smaller OAL of the Bayrat is allowing the fish to engulf the entire bait and both hooks for solid sets.  I like that a lot.  Often times on my Renoskys the fish only has the tail hook in its mouth.
