Got a black box on my boat. Same kind of idea. I cam say that the phenomenon doesn't hurt. Have read that negative energy will spook fish off too.

This year has been a mostly downrigger bite for us, so that could be a factor.

I run DC voltage around .550 to .600 to all 3 riggers for a good field . When I notice on certain days the junk lines are getting whacked and the riggers are dead, I add a little juice. Sometimes it works...sometimes I think it does..
