Olcott report for 7/17

Fished harbor east to power plant. Two kings 18" and about 8 lbs. 42 st. Dodger and fly and chartreuse/silver spoon. 190'-350' of water. Marks were better in closer. Fish came in 270' of water. Fish 3 p.m. To dark.

Were you targeting any certain depth or temp range?

40'-80' down. I don't have a probe so I don't know down or temp. Fished the same waters today and a small king and steelhead.

Any fleas out there yet? I'm off a few days this week and will be trolling Wilson/Olcott. Wondering if I need to get the 30# spliced in or not. Been picking on the Walleye most of June- Can't wait to hear a screaming drag again. Thanks for the report

Fished same area 150-350 then offshore 27.5-31 fleas aren't bad at all 19 bites all day mainly kings couple steelhead couple Lakers. Slow day

Fished yesterday there started 220-430 went north. Didn't move a rod had s a spread from 30-100. Didn't mark much. 50-53 degrees down 75ft trolled 2-2,5mph. Was out for about 2.5 hrs mid day

Fished again today. Targeted 190-270. 1- 19.2 king, a small steelhead and two horrendous wire dispey/braid/mono knots.

Fished Saturday boated 2 kings,20lbs and one 15 couple stealhead but fishing is the normal avg about 10 hits a day. But at least the size is up. Nothing beats that drag screaming.....
