Some say 20# works, others say 30#. I went with the 30# & this will be my first flea season with it so I'm new to it. Maybe someone else will chime in. Good luck. ;)

We have been using the Ande 30lb pink for many seasons now with great success. I just spooled up 2 rods with Gamma 30, will post my observations when the fleas start. But you can't go wrong with Ande. Good Luck.

15# Big Game green with a leader in the spring & early summer till the fleas show up. Then 30# BG with 15 or 20# Seafloren leader.

Been using 17lb trilene green for years and to get the fleas off last year I went to using the trilene for backing and spooled on 150ft ( enough to reach the ball from the boat) of flea flicker 30 lb and then went back to 17lb trilene for 60ft to go from the ball back to the lure. The flea flicker works well to reduce collection of the pesky critters but it is a flat, not round line and tends to blow back on the troll a little more. I've had good success with this combo.

I agree with most 30lb big game. For spring use a lighter lb test leader, example 10- 14 lb fluro and for middle summer to fall 20lb-25 lb fluro. join with a uni to uni knot.

We use 18# Trilene XL Tough year round on our dipsey's and 21# Flea Flicker year round on the downs

We haven't had many break offs running the lighter line
