What size reel can I get away with?

Gentlemen,

I'm going to set up a leadcore rod and have already picked up the "ready made setup" 300' dacron, 300' 27# core and the leader. What size reel should I be looking at?

i use penn 330 for a full core. A diawa 57 will work also.

We use Shimano Triton 700 to run full core + 300yards of powerpro backer. Fits on the reel nicely

I use Diawa's 47LC on all my setups. They work fine. they hold plently of 30lb test in the summer and hold plenty of 10lb for spring.

you must reel that lead and dacron real tight to fit it on a 47lc.
