lake Tahoe

Anyone ever fish Lake Tahoe? I'm going to Vegas in mid October for golf but am thinking about trying Tahoe for a couple days. Tried lake Mead for stripers last year but that wasnt much fun. Any charter captain recommendations would be appreciated.

Pm stan (his name and screen name)here. He hasn't been on too much but he still answers a pm. He lives in northern California and probably can help you on your quest. Back in the late 70s I fly fished the Truckee River. Don't know much about it now though. Long ride from Vegas. I was in Reno and it was very close. Beautiful lake!

Do either of those lakes still have water in them ? Last I saw on the news, they were mostly empty from drought.

I googled Tahoe fishing yesterday and saw alot of beautiful pictures of trout being caught on a couple websites. After reading linemans post, I googled tahoe water level and its bad. Could drop 2 more feet too if they dont get rain. Dont sound good.
