King Slammin- Olcott 8/6/15

Hopped aboard a buddy's boat since the King Slammin is still in storage this year. My first trip out since May, when we did 14 kings on 19 bites between two people.

This trip, while not as hot and heavy as May, I still had a blast. We did 5 kings this morning by micro tower. Found a sharp temperature break that went from 43 degrees, up to 60 degrees then back down to 43 degrees down 85' within a 1/4 mile. We pulled a double and 3 singles but the northwest wind mixed that water together fast and we lost it. Broke a 25+ off behind the boat as well (Dammit!!). All spin doctor/ fly bites. Chrome Frog/ Proam fly, White Green Dot, and Mtn Dew Echip/ Hammer fly all caught fish. 75-100' down. This is my first post of 2015, but hopefully not the last. Tight lines to all

Nice!!!! Heading up today from Ohio. Hope it is still good tomorrow. Sounds like things are picking up. What water depth?

It was still slow. Other boats we talked to only landed 1-2 fish and some got skunked by the time we left at 10:30 or so. Tried 80-100 first thing but didn't get anything to go.

Nice job. Fr ohio, no probe, out here now. 60-100ft off wilson this am zip. Ran to 400 off olcott lost a steelie, nothin since. Running low on beer!! Can only get better/--:

Fished the bar this morning 7am-11am. Marked some fish hardly any bait. Caught 15 shaker kings anywhere from 100 down up to 40. Fished 150-220 FOW. Dipsy's, Spoons, flasher fly all caught fish. Just couldn't get anything big to go. Beautiful morning tho !
